News Release: New executive director named for the Catholic Foundation of West Michigan

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Trustees of the Catholic Foundation of West Michigan have selected Teresa Reid as the new executive director of the Catholic Foundation of West Michigan. She brings 17 years of national and regional non-profit fundraising experience to the position.

Reid has served as the gift planning officer for the Catholic Foundation since April 2023. She was named interim executive director of the Foundation when Greg Deja, former executive director, left in January 2025 to become president of Catholic Central High School in Grand Rapids.

“Teresa’s knowledge of effective development best practices in the non-profit sector have greatly enhanced our efforts at the Catholic Foundation of West Michigan over the past two years,” said Most Reverend David J. Walkowiak, bishop of Grand Rapids and trustee of the Catholic Foundation. “I am confident that her continued leadership will guide the Foundation toward new opportunities and strengthen its impact as the Foundation celebrates its 30th year.”
In her role as executive director, Reid will steward the Foundation’s more than $132 million in assets to impact the lives of others and enrich faith experiences. She will also engage donors and Catholic organizations to grow new generosity.
