Grant Opportunities

Through the generosity of our donors, the Catholic Foundation of West Michigan is able to make grants which positively impact our West Michigan community. Together, we work to manifest God’s love through our aligned passions and authentic calling to live lives of hope, mercy, and generosity.

Granting

The Catholic Foundation distributes grants to Catholic parishes, schools, ministries and organizations that build the mission of the Catholic Church in Western Michigan. Grants are awarded throughout the year from endowment distributions, donor advised funds, and a limited competitive grant pool.

Love & Charity Grants

As the heartbeat of our faith and its outward expression, love and charity are foundational to the mission of the Catholic Foundation and encapsulate the essence of Christian life. We celebrate our community’s dedication to love and charity through awarding grants to Catholic parishes, school, ministries, and local nonprofits whose missions align with the Catholic Foundation’s funding priorities. We give thanks to the Bishop’s Angels and our sponsors who make these grants possible. Read about our 2024 Love & Charity grant recipients HERE.

If you are interested in applying for a competitive grant, please review the guidelines and criteria outlined in our resource guide. The application window closes October 31, 2024.

If you are applying for a diocesan parish, school, or ministry, a signed acknowledgement letter is required from the pastor, school principal, or diocesan ministry director who is endorsing the project/program. Please complete the Letter of Support using this template.
