A grant recipient must be a 501(c)(3) public charity in good standing with the IRS. Organizations in the Official Catholic Directory, as determined by the bishop of each diocese, are preapproved. As requested by donors, council members and trustees review additional organizations to include in an approved charitable listing. You can rest assured any grants from your fund are going to organizations in alignment with your faith.
